Inner Cinema – Single
KYTES, the moniker for the electronic infused indie pop endeavours of Michael Spieler (Vocals/guitar), Timothy Lush (Drums), Kerim Öke (Guitar/synths) and Thomas Sedlacek (Bass), mark their arrival with their debut single ‘Inner Cinema’ on august 21 this year. Hailing from Germany, the band has performed a sold out show at Strom, in their hometown of Munich on 12th June.
Featuring the mercurial talents of four young rising stars, KYTES embark on a musical rollercoaster having attracted exhaustive comparisons – be it Germany’s media to bloggers further afield and seen the band make an indelible impression even at this early stage – ‘Inner Cinema’ does nothing to dispel those plaudits.
Timothy Lush explains, “INNER CINEMA is an uplifting song, with a driving beat, one that gives you a little break from reality. The songs title makes it clear that we all have our own film running in our heads, be it fiction or fantasy. It’s the cinema inside our own head keeps us all pretty busy.”
‘Inner Cinema’ is the first track that the band released, written in Munich in the Summer of 2014 and recorded early 2015. Raw and dirty, peppered with scuzzy guitars, throbbing basslines, pounding drums and 80s synth influences. It is emotive, unadulterated fun awash in ocean of poignant fragility encompassing the band’s unique style and sound and is an excellent indication of better things to come.
