New release: LUI HILL new single & album bundle are out now!

1.3 million plays on spotify later, LUI HILL‘s classic ‘Revolver’ is returning in a whole new look. JATA’s remixed version of the single takes us back to the early 2000s, with a J Dilla, gritty, monotonous, jazz-inspired vibe. The heavy hypnotic beat is the foundation and at the same time, a contrast to the rest of the music. The song keeps its positive, underlying message though:
“We’re not damned to revolve around, the same old groove, the same old ground.”
Perhaps it was this message exactly that drew in feature artist, Lazarus, to collaborate. Crushing stereotypes in his home country Malawi, Lazarus has become known for leading the way towards social change for people with albinism in Africa, who live with the risk of kidnappings and murder due to the unfounded belief that their body parts can be used in witchcraft.
LUI HILL released his self-titled debut album, ‘Lui Hill’ in November 2018. Various tracks were featured in New Music Friday’s internationally, Young & Free, Gegen den Strom, Feelgood Indie, Indie Radar, and New Alternative Playlists. With his simulatenous release of Revolver (Jata remix) feat. Lazarus on October 4th, LUI presents an album bundle release to conclude his debut album campaign.
Beyond the Revolver remix, the album bundle includes tracks like ‘I Owe You’ (released in July, now with 330k streams on Spotify), ‘Blame it on Me,’ ‘The Game’ (collaboration with FYE & FENNEK) and ‘Rusty Strings’ (collaboration with South African artist, Khofhi TheKing).
With the conclusion of his first album campaign, LUI HILL is using the transition phase to work on individual singles, features and remixes before the release of his new EP (expected summer 2020).

Releasing his debut self-titled album in 2018, LUI HILL proved that soul and syths belong together. The studied jazz drummer established a strong place in the indie world with his first release, ‘5000 Miles.’ The follow-up single, ‘Revolver,’ achieved over 1 million streams on Spotify, similar to ‘5000 Miles’ on Apple Music. LUI HILL was on tour throughout Europe in October 2018 and managed thereafter to gain a foothold in the South
